Conversely, Chenlin et al. [89] demonstrated that HDAC-10 could act as a tumor suppressor in cervical cancer tissue specimens and suppress lymph node metastasis mostly suppressing the expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) -2 and -9 genes [89], therefore constituting a potential therapeutic target for cervical cancer. The gene discussed is HDAC10; the disease is cervical carcinoma.
