(2019) performed a targeted methylation analysis finding that differential ANK1 methylation is a common feature across the entorhinal brain cortex of subjects with AD, Huntington’s disease (HD), or Parkinson’s disease (PD), but not those with vascular dementia (VD) or dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) unless these individuals had co-existing AD pathology [106].
