For this publication, the term ABCA4R will be used for the wide range of phenotypes previously reported in association with variants in ABCA4. These include bull’s eye maculopathy (BEM) [57,58], retinitis pigmentosa with bone spicule pigmentary deposition [59,60], cone rod dystrophy [61], choriocapillaris dystrophy [62], and rapid onset chorioretinopathy [63]. The gene discussed is ABCA4; the disease is Bull's eye maculopathy.
