AKT phosphorylation level and its ratio were also increased to 1.8 (t(12) = 8.9, p < 0.001 vs. control animals, Student t-test) and 1.81 times (t(12) = 8.4, p < 0.001 vs. control animals, Student t-test) the control level in epilepsy rats, respectively, without changing AKT protein level (Figure 5A,H–J and Figure S3). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and epilepsy.
