ANGPTL3 and endothelial dysfunction: The improvement of endothelial function exerted by ANGPTL3 inhibitors may be explained by decreased circulating TG and LDL, and therefore less infiltration in the endothelium, but ANGPTL3, beyond its effect on lipids, seems to affect endothelial dysfunction directly by binding endothelial integrin αvβ3 inducing endothelial cell adhesion and migration [58] and by stimulating the Wnt/β-catenin signaling, constituted of transmembrane receptors Frizzled and several Wnt ligand proteins [12].
