Recently, it was also shown that PVT1a lncRNA stimulates invasive growth of hepatitis B virus-infected liver cancer cells through stimulation of MYC gene transcription; this lncRNA blocks histone methyltransferase EZH2, which inhibits MYC promoter activity through methylation of lysine 27 on histone H3 [240] (Figure 4). This evidence concerns the gene MYC and liver cancer.
