miR-328-3p inhibits cell proliferation and carcinogenesis or metastasis in colon by inactivating cancer-related signaling pathways such as PI3K-Akt pathway [49], while PI3K/AKT pathway damaged in various tissues of the body leads to obesity [50], indicating that down-regulation of miR-328-3p found in obese cases could lead to cell proliferation and carcinogenesis.
