We also observed that a 6-month treatment with olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensinII-type1 receptor (ATR1) blocker (ARB), is effective in reducing miR-221/222 expression and ROS levels in CD34+ CPCs from hypertensive patients presenting with left ventricular hypertrophy, likely by modulating ATR1 activity [9]. This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and left ventricular hypertrophy.
