Widely described cancer antigens, such as cytokeratin 19 fragment (CYFRA 21-1), carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), and neuron-specific enolase (NSE), have confirmed usefulness as a tumor biomarker panel in the diagnosis of lung cancer, but they lack high sensitivity and specificity [4,23,24].
