A panel study on 34 breast cancer predisposition genes in hereditary breast and ovarian cancer (HBOC) families revealed that the odds ratio of PALB2 was 10.25 (CI = 6.03–16.40), which was similar to the odds ratio of BRCA2, namely 10.26 (CI = 5.75–16.33), therefore deeming it as a high penetrance gene [37,38]. The gene discussed is BRCA2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
