(2011) showed that the median (the range) of serum DJ-1 levels in healthy subjects (n = 40), patients with chronic pancreatitis (n = 43) and pancreatic cancer (n = 47) were 0.6236 (0.4221–2.0000) ng/mL, 1.26 (0.3750–2.3250) ng/mL, and 2.041 (0.8000–8.000) ng/mL, respectively [30]. This evidence concerns the gene PARK7 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
