On one hand, a reduction of the T-regs proportions in the peripheral blood (PB) of AML patients has been demonstrated [57]; on the other, in a comparative in vitro analysis among sorafenib, tandutinib, quizartinib and midostaurin, only this latter was related to a reduction of the T-regs pool in PB samples from both healthy and AML patients, maybe due to the inhibition of the off-target kinases (KIT, PDGFR, SRC and VEGFR) [58]. The gene discussed is KIT; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
