Approval for osimertinib by the FDA came first on 13 November 2015 for use as adjuvant therapy after tumor resection in adult patients with NSCLC with the above EGFR mutations, but this was expanded on 18 April 2018 for use as a first line therapy in metastatic NSCLC with the EGFR mutations listed above [28].
