In 2004, Scian et al. expressed hotspot mutants p53-R175H, p53-R273H, and p53-D281G in H1299, which is a p53 null human non-small-cell lung carcinoma cell line, and found that the proliferation rate of these cells increased compared to that of control cells. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
