Press et al. analyzed FoxP3+ cells at the dermal–epidermal junction in vulvar EMPD and found that both nonrecurrent and recurrent cases with positive surgical margin had more FoxP3+ cells than those with negative surgical margin, suggesting that increased Tregs may be associated with more extensive EMPD cases, and these Tregs might promote survival and subclinical spread of Paget cells along the epidermis [66]. Here, FOXP3 is linked to extramammary Paget disease.
