SOCS2 and cerebrovascular disorder: Recent studies found that miR-129 plays crucial roles in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, especially in myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury; for example, Chen et al. have found that miR-129-5p protects against myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury via targeting HMGB1, and Ma et al. found that miR-129-5p alleviates myocardial injury by targeting suppressor of cytokine signaling 2 after ischemia/reperfusion [29, 30].
