Leukemia cells of MLL-ELL were particularly sensitive to WM1119, a pan MYST family HAT inhibitor (MacPherson et al., 2020), compared to other MLL fusion-leukemia cells (Figure 6—figure supplement 1E), suggesting that HBO1-mediated protein acetylation may enhance the ELL-AF4 association. The gene discussed is KMT2A; the disease is leukemia.
