Due to the important role of VEGF in carcinogenesis, the present study aimed to investigate the association of haplotypes of VEGF −2578C/A (−1540C/A), −2549I/D (−1511I/D), −460T/C (−1498T/C), +405C/G (−634C/G), −7C/T (+1032C/T) and +936C/T polymorphisms with breast cancer risk in North-West Indians. The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is breast carcinoma.
