LCN2 and inflammation: These results are in accordance with the findings of another study, where LCN2 has been found to be positively correlated with MPO and calprotectin.27 Another study also reported positive correlation between LCN2 and Reg1B, this is also in line with our findings.28 Moreover, MPO, NEO, caprotectin have been emerged as a biomarkers of intestinal inflammation as well as predictor of EED.26 29–32 Therefore, LCN2 might be a potential biomarker to diagnose intestinal inflammation and EED.
