CTLA4 and cancer: Alteration of cancer cells physical properties could be used as a clinical means to improve cytotoxic T cell response and might be of use in combinatory treatments with standard chemotherapies, as well as immunotherapies such as checkpoint blockade antibodies (anti-PD1 and anti-CTLA4 antibodies) and treatment with engineered T cells expressing Chimeric Antigen Receptors [reviewed in Li et al.
