The phenolic antioxidant resveratrol in peanuts (Table 1) was shown to exhibit antiproliferative activity in cervical and breast cancer cells, by decreasing the expression of the DNA damage-induced prosurvival protein kinases MAPK3 and CDK4 and, conversely, elevating TP53 and CDKN1A [82].
