FLT3-ITD, NPM1, and DNMT3A mutations frequently occur in AML patients, and the combination of these three gene mutations (FND triple-mutant AML) was reported to confer inferior survival and a higher risk of relapse (Loghavi et al., 2014; Papaemmanuil et al., 2016a,b).
