In the silkworm, major antiviral defense mechanisms such as RNA interference (RNAi), NF-kB-mediated, Imd (immune deficiency), stimulator of interferon gene (STING), and Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK/STAT) pathways have been shown to play important roles in antiviral immunity (Jiang, 2021).
