PTEN-induced putative kinase 1 (PINK1) mutations related to the recessive genetic forms of parkinsonism, in the cerebellum of PD patients in Purkinje neuron and in several neuron types of dentate nuclei have been detected (Blackinton et al., 2007; Dodson and Guon, 2007). This evidence concerns the gene PINK1 and Parkinsonism.
