HNRNPA1 and melanoma: hnRNP‐A1 has been reported to both promote and inhibit the activation of IRES [23], and to formally test the role of hnRNP‐A1 on the translation of MELOE‐1, we used M113 melanoma cells transfected with a Renilla–Firefly bicistronic reporter plasmid, a model that we previously used to assess the IRES‐dependent translation of MELOE‐1 [9].
