The mean serum insulin levels in individuals with tetraplegia were 9.8 uU/mL ± 5.4 compared to those with paraplegia 8.9 uU/mL ± 4.2, and the pooled difference between the groups was not statistically significant (WMD −0.3, 95% CI −1.8, 1.1, p < 0.001, I2 81.6%). Here, INS is linked to quadriplegia.
