To address the role of SQLE in PCa, we first confirmed that high SQLE expression is significantly associated with shorter biochemical relapse (BCR)-free survival in a TCGA dataset for primary PCa (PRAD primary; n = 430), as well as with higher preoperative PSA levels, overall Gleason scores, advanced tumour stages, and nodal-positive disease (Fig. 1a). The gene discussed is KLK3; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
