Animal studies showed PTPRT knockout increases the size of mouse colon tumors in the Apcmin+/- genetic background, suggesting that inactivation of PTPRT promotes tumor progression [14] Our study analyzed the role of PTPRT in breast cancer, and we found the PTPRT mRNA level could be biomarkers for different stages, age groups, molecular types, and grades for breast cancer, as well as prognostic biomarkers for breast cancer. Here, PTPRT is linked to breast carcinoma.
