CRP levels above 75 mg/dL were also significantly associated with severe pneumonia at admission (OR 38.9; 95% CI 5.1–299, p = 0.0004) while CRP levels below 25 mg/dL were negatively associated with severe disease (OR 0.19; 95% CI 0.08–0.48, p = 0.0003) (Table 1). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
