The tumor suppressor FOXF1 is a p53 target and it is epigenetically silenced in breast cancer70,71, however, to our knowledge no previous tumor-suppressive role for it has been reported in BLCA, either alone or co-expressed with FGFR2. This effect is not seen for UCEC (Fig. 6E), where our analysis predicts that the effects of FGFR2 are tumorigenic in this region, but not affected by FOXF1 expression (i.e., no significant differences between high and low co-expression). The gene discussed is FOXF1; the disease is neoplasm.
