Western blot results showed that the expression of ANGPTL4 was significantly up-regulated and the expression of p-ERK42/44 was significantly down-regulated in CRC cells overexpressing ANGPTL4; however, this decrease in levels of p-ERK42/44 in CRC cells was significantly reversed after co-treatment with the specific ERK1/2 activators Ceramide C6 and ANGPTL4 (Figure 4E). This evidence concerns the gene ANGPTL4 and colorectal carcinoma.
