While our study did not focus on the analysis of a potential link between oncogene-driven lung cancer and the MEK5/ERK5 route, the fact that RAS29, EGFR8, or ALK30 have been reported to activate that pathway raises the interesting possibility that prooncogenic signaling by those drivers may use the MEK5/ERK5 route.
