Multivariate logistic regression analysis of the whole dataset with inclusion of gender, transmission route, viral load at diagnosis, CD4 + T cell counts at baseline, nadir CD4 + T cell counts, age at diagnosis, and HIV infection stage, indicated that infection with HIV-1 non-B clades was independently associated with female gender (OR: 1.69, 95% CI 1.22–2.34, p = 0.002), higher age at diagnosis (OR: 1.03, 95% CI 1.002–1.052, p = 0.032) and HIV-1 viral load at diagnosis (OR: 1.35, 95% CI 1.05–1.74, p = 0.02). This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and HIV infectious disease.
