ZIKV infection increases the levels of a series of cytokines (IL-1α, IL-6, IL-9, IL-10, IL-12p70, and IFN-γ) and chemokines (CCL2, CCL3, CCL4, CCL5, CCL11, and CXCL1) in mouse brain. Here, CXCL1 is linked to Zika virus infectious disease.
