Overall, a significant association was detected under dominant model (OR=1.16, 95%CI: 1.01–1.33, P=0.04), however, there was no significant difference in APOC3 genotype distribution between NAFLD and control (OR=1.14, 95%CI: 0.82–1.57, P=0.44 for recessive model, OR=1.13, 95%CI: 0.98–1.31, P=0.10 for CT vs TT, OR=1.24, 95%CI: 0.84–1.82, P=0.28 for CC vs TT) (Figure 2, Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene APOC3 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
