VCAM1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: In vitro studies, indeed, reported that vascular cellular adhesion molecule‐1 (VCAM‐1) is overexpressed in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells and its expression is associated with invasive phenotype1; moreover, low plasma levels of intracellular adhesion molecule‐1 (ICAM‐1) seem to be associated with a better response to conventional chemotherapy.2
