Obesity, positive detection of rectal swab species for viral RNA, delayed antiviral treatment, elevated NK, and decreased CD4+ T cell cells were significantly related to prolonged respiratory viral shedding, and patients treated by LPV/r combined with arbidol had remarkably shortened duration of respiratory viral shedding compared with those treated by LPV/r combined with CQ. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
