Mutations in well-known cancer genes located on chromosome 1p, such as NRAS (1p13.2), GADD45A (1p31.2–31.1), CDKN2C (1p32.2), RAD45(1p32) and EPB41 (1p36.2–p34), have so far only sporadically been detected26,28,34,35. This evidence concerns the gene CDKN2C and cancer.
