Furthermore, we showed that Ltbp2 was reduced in both abdominal and dorsocervical adipose tissue biopsies from another cohort of patients with HIV who developed lipodystrophy when compared with adipose tissue from patients with HIV who did not develop lipodystrophy (20), further indicating a critical role of Ltbp2 in HIV lipodystrophy.
