PSMD14‐mediated deubiquitination of PKM2 induces decreased ratio of PKM2 tetramer compared with PKM2 dimer and monomer, diminishing PK activity to induce aerobic glycolysis and promoting nuclear translocation of PKM2 to enhance the transcription of downstream cancer‐promoting genes, which thereby stimulates malignant progression of ovarian cancer. The gene discussed is PKM; the disease is cancer.
