WNT5A and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis: Previous papers have reported the participation of WNT signalling pathways in IPF pathogenesis (Chanda et al., 2019; Chilosi et al., 2012), and mRNA microarray data sets of GSE53845 and GES10667 from the GEO database reveal significantly increased expression levels of both WNT5A and WNT10B transcripts in IPF lungs (Figures 4d, e, and Figure S4A).
