As previously highlighted, the results of the Learning Early about Peanut Allergy (LEAP) study were published in 2015 and showed that in a cohort of infants aged 4 to 11 months with egg allergy, severe eczema, or both, early introduction of peanut decreased the incidence of IgE-mediated peanut allergy [11]. This evidence concerns the gene IGHE and Eczematoid dermatitis.
