Mutations in WDR45B gene encoding WIPI3 are associated with a neurodevelopmental disorder with spastic quadriplegia, brain abnormalities and seizures (NEDSBAS, OMIM#617977) while mutations affecting WIPI2 lead to intellectual developmental disorder with short stature and variable skeletal anomalies (IDDSSA, OMIM#618453) (18,19). This evidence concerns the gene WDR45B and neurodevelopmental disorder.
