In addition to the six tumors described above, HOTAIR is consistently overexpressed in several other types of cancer, including colorectal cancer (72–75), ovarian cancer (76, 77), cervical cancer (78), prostate cancer (79, 80), brain glioma (81, 82), esophageal cancer (83–85), bladder cancer (86), and osteosarcoma (87–89). The gene discussed is HOTAIR; the disease is cervical cancer.
