These studies have revealed that lncRNAs may serve as useful markers for schizophrenia, and may potentially predict treatment response, although contrary result has been observed in one study in which expressions of long non-coding RNA TMEVPG1 and NRON in blood cells did not differ between schizophrenia and controls (Melbourne et al., 2018).
