Recently, uromodulin has been implicated in BP regulation and reported to be associated with hypertension. Padmanabhan and coworkers42 showed the minor G allele of SNP rs13333226 in UMOD gene promoter region is significantly associated with a lower risk of hypertension, reduced urinary uromodulin excretion, better renal function in a genome‐wide association study (GWAS). Here, UMOD is linked to Hypertension.
