AFP and hepatocellular carcinoma: Surprisingly, although both the APAC and GALAD score have AFP as a constitute, the APAC score had higher diagnostic value for the identification of HCC-patients with AFP values lower than 10 or 20 ng/mL (AUC of 0.8780 and 0.8960, respectively), as compared to the GALAD score (AUC of 0.7819 (p = 0.0146) and 0.8054 (p = 0.0045), respectively) (Supplementary Figure S4, Supplementary Table S4).
