The most common changes documented in HDL particles isolated from CKD patients (HDLCKD) include reduced levels of apoA-I, apoA-II, apoM, PON-1, and higher levels of serum amyloid A (SAA), apoC-II, apoC-III, apoA-IV, albumin, lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2), surfactant protein B (SP-B), and α1-microglobulin/bikunin precursor [19,37,38,39,40,41,42,43].
