Currently, it is well known that hyperglycemia and TNF-α actively stimulate plasma and endothelial production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and toxic by-products of glycolysis, leading to the formation of AGEs [255,256,257] which damages macro- and especially micro-vasculature and may contribute to thrombotic and atherosclerotic events [257,258]. Here, TNF is linked to Hyperglycemia.
