SIRT6 and osteosarcoma: In a study using osteosarcoma cells, the overexpression of SIRT6 inhibited the proliferation and invasiveness of SAOS2 and MG-63 osteosarcoma cells [24]; however, the study used U2OS and KHOS/NP osteosarcoma cells, and SIRT6 did not affect the proliferation of osteosarcoma cells despite chemo-sensitization with the knock-down of SIRT6 [21].
